GOOD NEIGHBOR PROGRAM

The Good Neighbor program is a neighborhood investment program designed to reward residents for participating in their community.

As a Good Neighbor, the Mercer residents who work for or volunteer with partner organizations receive rent discounts to help them live more affordably and spend more time with neighbors.

Volunteer at a Neighborhood School

A Neighborhood for Everyone

BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR

Residents who participate in the program receive a rent credit based on the number of hours volunteered per month. These savings are credited monthly to the apartment unit as a whole. Hours max out at 4 hours per month and the discount maxes out at $100 per month.

Rental Savings Based on Hours Volunteered

1 hourvolunteered = $25 rent credit

2 hours volunteered = $50 rent credit
3 hours volunteered = $75 rent credit

4 hours volunteered = $100 rent credit

Being a Good Neighbor means...

  • Building a strong bond with your neighbors & the community
  • Helping with existing neighborhood initiatives & events
  • Keeping your neighborhood clean
  • Mentoring local students
  • Supporting local small businesses
  • Volunteering with purpose-driven organizations

The Good Neighbor program is currently only open to residents at the Mercer (managed by Skye Management).

BECOME A GOOD NEIGHBOR PARTNER

The core of the program is powered by our partner community organizations. Partners, residents, and our team work together to identify volunteer opportunities that support the community and the organization's needs. Residents and partners create a Good Neighbor volunteer plan to record and report their time spent volunteering to Skye Managment. Our team conducts routine check-ins with both residents and partner organizations to ensure the program is continually making progress in the community.
